BRS MP Bibi Patil Gets Setback In The Supreme Court

Delhi/Hyderabad, July 25 (Maxim News)  BRS MP Bibi Patil has faced a setback in the Supreme Court.  The BRS MP did not get any relief from the Supreme Court on the disqualification petition.

The Supreme Court rejected the petition filed by Bibi Patil clarifying that the disqualification petition should be decided in the High Court.  Bibi Patil won as TRS MP in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.  However, a person named K. Madana Mohan Rao filed a petition in the Telangana High Court claiming that Bibi Patil’s election was invalid because he had violated the rules.

The High Court has ordered a daily hearing into this.  But Bibi Patila challenged the High Court order in the Supreme Court today (Tuesday), the Supreme Court dismissed the petition as there was no merit in Bibi Patil’s arguments.  (Maxim News)
