Burra Venkatesham Has Been Appointed As The Chairman Of TGPSC
Hyderabad, Nov 30 (Maxim News): The State government headed by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has appointed Principal Secretary and senior IAS officer Burra Venkatesham as the Chairman of the Telangana Government Public Service Commission (TGPSC). The Congress government allowed BC as the Chairman of TGPSC.

Ganta Chakrapani from the SC community was appointed as the first Public Service Commission of Telangana and then Janardhan Reddy was appointed.
However, in the wake of various allegations, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy appointed Mahender Reddy in place of Janardhan Reddy. Now Burra Venkatesham from the BC community has been appointed by the Chief Minister.
Burra Venkatesham will be the Chairman of Telangana Public Service Commission for four years. Mahender Reddy’s tenure will end on December 3. On Saturday, the government issued an order appointing Burra Venkatesham in that position.

On the 20th of this month, the notification for the appointment of Telangana Public Service Commission Chairman was released. An opportunity was given to apply till 5 pm. With this, around 45 applications have been received for the post of TGPSC Chairman, Retired IAS and professors from various universities have also applied for the post of TGPSC Chairman. But finally, CM Revanth Reddy selected Burra Venkatesham, who is the Principal Secretary to the Education Department. Later, the file regarding appointment of Chairman was sent to Raj Bhavan for approval by the Governor Jishnudev Verma. In this order, the Governor gave his seal of approval on the file related to the appointment. With this, the Congress government officially announced the name of Burra Venkatesham as the Chairman of TGPSC.
Burra Venkatesham will resign from his previous posts in this background. As part of that, Venkatesham has already applied for VRS and the government has accepted it. the government has appointed. Burra Venkatesham will take charge as TGPSC Chairman on December 2. (Maxim News)
