Hyderabad, May 16: A CA student died by suicide in Miyapur allegedly due to stress over academic backlogs, police said on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Janardhan, a final year Chartered Accountancy student staying with friends at Gokul Plots in Miyapur.
Police said Janardhan had failed in two subjects and recently came to Hyderabad from Chennai for preparation.
According to investigators, Janardhan did not appear for the recent examination. Friends told police that he had been under stress over his studies.
On Friday, when his roommates went to work, Janardhan allegedly died by suicide inside the house.
When friends returned in the evening, he did not respond despite repeated knocks. With help from locals, they broke open the door and found him dead.
Police rushed to the spot after receiving information. Officials conducted an inspection and recovered two suicide notes from the room.
In the notes, Janardhan reportedly apologised to his parents and expressed frustration over his inability to continue the CA course.
A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
