Call For State Wide Auto Bandh Today
Hyderabad, Jan.7 (Maxim News): Telangana State Auto Drivers JAC decided to participate in all India general strike on January 8, condemning the anti-labour policies of BJP government at the centre and TRS government in Telangana State. Auto drivers are demanding that like Andhra Pradesh Government, the Telangana State Government should also grant Rs. 10,000/- to every Auto for repairs and take necessary steps towards enforcing prohibition in Telangana State. The other demands include, issue of Rs.20,000 new auto permits and stoppage of auto black marketing in twin cities forthwith and ban on diesel-run cabs on city roads.
Mohd Amanullah Khan, Convenor, addressing mediapersons here today, while alleging that KCR government has not increased the existing auto fares for the last six year, he demanded Rs. 50/- minimum fare and Rs. 15 per Km rate citing the reason of waste of fuel and time due to traffic congestion on road and frequent traffic jams. He appealed to all the auto union representatives in twin cities to attend the meeting without fail and make it a success.
