Campaign For MLC By-Election Ended: Polling On May 27 From 8 am To 4 pm

Hyderabad, May 25 (Maxim News): The campaign for the erstwhile Khammam-Nalgonda-Warangal Graduate MLC by-election has ended. The polling will be held on May 27 from 8 am to 4 pm.

Voting will be held in the three erstwhile districts of Khammam-Nalgonda-Warangal comprising 34 Assembly segments. Palla Rajeshwar Reddy won as MLC from here.  In the last Assembly elections, Rajeshwar Reddy contested from the Jangaon Assembly and won. He resigned from the post of MLC which paved the way for a by-election.

Rakesh Reddy from the BRS party, Teenmaar Mallanna from the Congress party, and Premender Reddy from the BJP are contesting. A total of 52 candidates including independent candidates are in the fray.  It is known that the Congress party won the Assembly elections and took power. Later, three BRS MLAs left the party and joined the Congress party.

Analysts are analyzing that there is currently a tendency towards the Congress party in the state of Telangana.  The counting of votes for graduate MLC by-election will be held on June 5.  The graduate MLC by-poll result will come the day after the results of the general elections. (Maxim News)
