Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug 25 (Maxim News): Can the President really make the Prime Minister resign? AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi questioned. He criticized the bills to remove the Prime Minister, Chief Minister and Ministers.
He said that the Constitution says that the president will guide only through the advice of the Council of Ministers. in this context, does the proposed law give the President the power to remove the Prime Minister? He asked “Will any President make the Prime Minister resign?”
Meanwhile, Asaduddin Owaisi also expressed concern over the powers of state governments. He said that if the central government decides to arrest four or five state ministers, the state government will fall on its own. “Where is the independence of the states? You will be the one who controls them. If four or five ministers are arrested, the government will fall,” he said.
On the other hand, Owaisi expressed concern that these bills would violate the principle of separation of powers enshrined in the Constitution and would affect the people’s right to elect the government. He lashed out at the BJP government at the Centre, saying, “This government is determined to create a police state. It will sing the final song of the elected government.” If the party really talks about morality, then it should also make a law that prevents an arrested leader from joining the central government.
