Capra Pond To Get 24-Hour Security To Prevent Unscrupulous Activities

Hyderabad, Oct 17 (Maxim News): The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner Ronald Rose has indicated taking swift action and providing 24-hour security at the Capra pond to prevent unscrupulous activities like development of the ponds, illegal fishing, consumption of liquor etc.

As part of the initiative for the conservation of ponds across the city in coordination with various departments, GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose said that the protection groups have been appointed for the development and conservation of ponds across the city in coordination with various departments. 

The GHMC commissioner visited LB Nagar Zone, Capra Circle, and Capra Pond, speaking on this occasion, the Commissioner ordered that suitable measures should be taken by GHMC, Irrigation, Lakes, Town Planning, UBD, and Sanitation for the development and conservation of ponds.   As part of the beautification of the ponds, walking track fencing and plantation drives have been undertaken through urban biodiversity, and CC cameras and police patrolling are being conducted.  He said that the static canal development program works are being connected to the ponds. 

Zonal Commissioner Pankaja, DC Mukund, Irrigation EA Narayana, CE Lakes Suresh, and Town Planning city Planner Prasad participated in this meeting.  (Maxim news)
