CARE Hospitals, Nampally, Successfully Performs Emergency LSCS, Saving Mother and Baby in High-Risk Delivery
Hyderabad, 24th March 2025: Surgeons at CARE Hospitals, Nampally, have successfully performed an emergency Lower Segment Cesarean Section (LSCS) on Mrs. Rama Parvathi, a 33-year-old pregnant woman. The swift intervention ensured a safe delivery despite high-risk complications.
Mrs. Rama Parvathi, who was seven months pregnant and undergoing regular antenatal checkups at CARE Hospitals, was admitted on March 17, 2025, with complaints of decreased fetal movements. Upon medical evaluation, doctors discovered that the amniotic fluid was meconium-stained, and the umbilical cord was wrapped around the baby’s neck, posing significant risks to both the mother and the baby.
After a quick assessment, the medical team, led by Dr. Arjumand Shafi, Senior Consultant (OBG), CARE Hospitals, Nampally, decided to proceed with an emergency LSCS to ensure the best possible outcome. The operation theater was immediately prepped, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team was placed on standby to provide immediate care to the newborn.
The surgery was carried out with utmost precision and efficiency, ensuring the safety of both mother and child. Post-surgery, the newborn received necessary medical attention from the NICU team, and the procedure was completed without complications.
