Census 2027 Self Enumeration Drive Begins
Officials urged residents to come forward and use the self enumeration facility. They said the system will help ensure that every household is counted during Census 2027.
GHMC Commissioner Karnan encouraged city residents to participate actively. He said public support is vital for the successful conduct of the census across Hyderabad.
Self enumeration allows citizens to submit household and personal details online before field verification. This reduces paperwork and saves time for both residents and census staff.
The Census is one of the country’s most important exercises. It helps governments plan welfare schemes, infrastructure projects, education needs, healthcare services, and urban development.
Accurate population data also guides policy decisions at the state and national levels.
Officials said awareness campaigns will continue in the coming months to help more people understand the online process.
Citizens can use the official portal to complete the form securely and correctly. The Telangana government expects strong participation, especially in urban areas where digital access remains high.
The start of the self enumeration process signals a major shift toward technology driven governance and public service delivery.
Authorities appealed to all eligible households to complete their entries on time and support the success of Census 2027.
