CEO Rajat Kumar Cast His Vote In Banjara Hills

Hyderabad, April 11 (Maxim News): Telangana Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar cast his vote along with wife at Saint Agastine School in Udaynagar in Banjara Hills.

Talking to mediapersons later, Rajat Kumar said there were some technical problems with regard to election material. He said they have changed EVMs at three places in Nizamabad parliamentary segment wherein 185 candidates are in fray. “Of course, the voting pattern is a bit low at urban areas”, he said in response to queries that the city people are not keen on exercising their franchise despite relentless campaign by the EC.

“We have shifted all working ballot units, EVMs and control units where they gone defunct in some polling stations”, he said. Rajat Kumar admitted the polling began late at some places due to various reasons. The CEO denied reports that some people took videos and photos in some of the polling stations. The EC official said the EC will take stern action against the private companies and organizations for denying holidays to their employees to cast their votes after receiving complaints.
