Chain Snatching In Abids: Snatcher Snatches Gold Chain From Woman’s Neck
Hyderabad, Feb 11 (Maxim News): Chain snatchers are on the rise in Hyderabad city. Chain snatching cases targeting single women are on the rise. Another chain snatching incident took place in the Abids area on Wednesday (February 11).
A woman named Sirisha, who works as a nurse at Mallareddy Hospital on Chapel Road, was attacked while she was on her way to her hostel after finishing her duties. Two assailants on a bike snatched the gold chain from her neck and fled.
Sirisha was injured when the assailants pulled her hard while she was trying to lock the chain. Based on the victim’s complaint, the police have registered a case and are investigating. They are examining CCTV footage from the surrounding areas.
Police are advising women to be vigilant as such incidents have been on the rise in the city in recent times. They are being told to take precautions when traveling alone at night and to immediately inform the police if they see suspicious people. (Maxim News)
