Hyderabad Holi Crackdown 2.6kg Bhang Raided in Begumbazar
Hyderabad Holi Crackdown | Hyderabad, March 4: The Special Task Force (STF) along with Prohibition and Excise officials conducted raids in Begumbazar and Dhoolpet areas of Hyderabad during Holi celebrations and registered three cases under the NDPS Act.
The teams seized a total of 2.622 kilograms of bhang prepared using dry ganja and arrested six persons.
Acting on specific inputs about the sale of bhang made with dry ganja, the STF A Team, in coordination with officials of the Prohibition and Excise Station, Dhoolpet, carried out simultaneous raids in the two localities.

In the first case, officials arrested Chintamani Chandan Singh (43) and Sahil Singh (20) from Begumbazar and seized 860 grams of bhang.
In the second case, Bhagat Raj Nandan Yadav (31), a resident of Begumbazar, Nampally, and Mahesh Chand Sharma (54) from Aghapura, Seetharam Bagh, were apprehended. The team seized 812 grams of bhang from them.
In the third case, Sagar Sharma (41) from Oontwadi, Begumbazar, and Ajay Sharma (43) from Jummerath Bazar were arrested. Officials confiscated 950 grams of bhang in this case.
All three cases have been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Further investigation is underway.
