Chaos Erupts at MLC Teenmaar Mallanna’s Office in Peerzadiguda After Comments on Kavitha; Gunshots Fired to Disperse Mob
Hyderabad, July 14, 2025: Tensions flared in Medipally on Sunday as MLC Teenmaar Mallanna’s office was vandalised by a group of angry protestors following his critical remarks about BRS leader and MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha. The remarks reportedly questioned Kavitha’s involvement in the ongoing Backward Classes (BC) movement, leading to outrage among her supporters.
Eyewitnesses reported that a mob stormed the premises, damaging property, smashing furniture, and breaking window panes. The scene quickly turned chaotic as angry slogans echoed around the office premises, drawing attention from nearby residents and passersby.
Gunshots Fired in the Air to Disperse Mob
In a dramatic turn, Mallanna’s security personnel reportedly fired five rounds into the air to disperse the agitated crowd. The firing was an attempt to prevent further damage and protect the MLC and his staff inside the building.
Soon after the incident, police teams rushed to the scene, restored order, and detained several protesters involved in the violence. Law enforcement officials confirmed that no injuries were reported in the melee and an investigation is underway.
Political War of Words Intensifies
Teenmaar Mallanna has been a vocal critic of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and its leadership, especially Kavitha. His recent remarks allegedly questioning the sincerity of her BC movement have struck a nerve within BRS ranks.
This incident comes at a politically sensitive time in Telangana, as debates over BC reservations and political commitments continue to dominate the public discourse. The clash reflects the growing tensions between rival political camps as the state edges closer to local body elections.
Police to Step Up Security
Authorities have confirmed that security at Teenmaar Mallanna’s office and residence will be increased, and efforts are being made to identify all individuals involved in the vandalism through CCTV footage.
Meanwhile, the incident has sparked reactions on social media, with supporters and critics of both leaders sharing strong opinions. The political temperature in the state is expected to rise further as both sides continue to trade accusations.
