Hyderabad, April 29 (Maxim News): Charminar Police arrested a man involved in multiple two wheeler theft cases and recovered three stolen scooters during a special operation in the Old City.
Police identified the accused as Mohammed Nayeem Khan alias Mohammed Salman alias Salman, 26, a Rapido driver and resident of Sheri Galli, King Kothi.
Officials said the accused was involved in bike thefts in different parts of Hyderabad.
Charminar Police Recover Three Stolen Vehicles
Based on credible information, the Charminar Police Crime Team launched surveillance and collected clues through CCTV footage and informers.
Police also tracked the accused’s movements and examined his social media activity during the probe.
Later, officers identified him near Madina X Road on April 28, 2026, and took him into custody.
During questioning, the accused confessed to stealing three vehicles from the limits of Charminar and Narayanaguda police stations, police said.
The police recovered three Honda Activa scooters from his possession.
The seized vehicles include one green Honda Activa, one brown Honda Activa, and one black Honda Activa.
Officials said vehicle theft cases remain a priority and special teams are working to trace repeat offenders across the city.
Moreover, police advised citizens to use safety locks, park vehicles in secure places, and report suspicious activity immediately.
The arrest was made under the supervision of Charminar Zone ACP P Chandrasekhar.
The operation involved Charminar Inspector T Rambabu, Detective Inspector K Narsing Rathod, Detective Sub Inspector G Satish Reddy, and the Crime Team staff.
Police said further investigation is underway to check whether the accused was linked to more theft cases in Hyderabad.(Maxim News)
