Voting is mandatory for the strengthening of democracy. Every citizen should consider voting as a responsibility, check whether their name is present or not in the voter list, and if so, in which booth they are present. Chaitanya wanted to help in increasing the percentage of voters by going to every house in the respective colonies and expressing the preference of voting, so that 100 percent voters participate in voting.

They want to know that a voter ID card does not count as voter, only voter’s name in voter list counts. They want to remove the apathy of the citizens about voting. The representatives of the respective residential associations are advised to organize 10 young voters as volunteers in their respective colonies to check the names of the voters in the voter list and inform the voters about the details of the polling booth.

If the voter slips are not received, they should call their BLOs and ask. They want to remind people to vote the day before the polling day. They asked to provide the name and phone numbers of the BLOs related to the respective areas, provide digital information, videos, campaign material, along with this they were asked to plan their own action as a colony wise residential association.

He said that steps have been taken to ensure that the votes of all the people in the same family are in the same polling booth. Elderly people above 85 years and PWD voters will have the opportunity to vote from home if they apply under Form-12D. They can apply till the 23rd of this month. Innovative videos should be made to create awareness among the voters and the respective videos should be tagged on the official Twitter account of the District Election Officer. He said that along with the voter’s greatness, a sticker indicating the date of polling will be distributed from house to house. Voting day is considered a holiday. But we want to take the responsibility of preparing in a way that the voters of the city will consider as our responsible day.
