Chetan Sanghi lauds SHE teams
Hyderabad, March 3 (Maxim News): Chetan Sanghi, Joint Secretary at the Women & Child Development Ministry, Government of India on a two day visit to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh arrived in Hyderabad today.
On this occasion, he paid a visit to “Bharosa” an integrated Support Center for Women & Children affected by violence, situated at Saifabad, Hyderabad.
The Officer had an interaction with the SHE teams. SHE Teams ACP Kavitha explained the activities of the special force and the role they are playing in providing protection against the crimes being perpetrated on women and children.
She said that 24/7 Help Line run by Police Department with number 100 will take calls related to women abuse cases and directs these calls to “Bharosa” Support Center.
For crimes against children there is another Help Line number 1098, she added. Wherever the client is in need of expert or specialised services, they are referred to an expert in the field from our panel members, she elucidated. Chetan Sanghi appreciated the endeavours of the She teams, especially regarding eve-teasers, harassment at workplaces and other related crimes.
Kanakadurga, Bharosa Center Administrator took part. Dr. P.J. Sudhakar, Additional Director General, Press Information Bureau, Hyderabad coordinated the visit of the Joint Secretary, W&CD ministry. (Maxim News)
