Family Devastated in Chevella Accident
Among the victims was a woman who died on the spot, while her husband suffered serious injuries.
Their three children miraculously escaped unhurt and were rescued by police during relief operations.
Witnesses said the children were crying for their parents as rescuers worked to pull them out of the bus.
The RTC bus was travelling from Tandur to Hyderabad when the tipper, reportedly overspeeding, lost control and hit it head-on.
The heavy gravel load then fell onto the bus, crushing many passengers. A ten-month-old infant was also among the deceased, while the bus conductor, identified as Radha, survived the crash.

Rescue teams used three JCB machines to remove debris and save trapped passengers.
During the operation, Chevella Circle Inspector Sridhar sustained severe injuries after being accidentally hit by a JCB.
He was rushed to the Chevella government hospital for treatment.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to provide immediate medical aid to the injured and ensure advanced care in Hyderabad.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the collision, which is suspected to be due to overspeeding and driver negligence.
