Chief Secretary Finalizes Arrangements For Independence Day Celebrations

Hyderabad, July 30 (Maxim News): In preparation for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, Telangana Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao chaired a high-level coordination meeting at the Secretariat today. Senior officials from various departments gathered to review and finalize arrangements for the state’s grand August 15th celebrations, which will be held at the historic Golconda Fort.

As per the finalized plan, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will begin the day by paying rich tributes at the Veerula Sainik Smarak (Martyrs’ Memorial). Following this, he will preside over the main Independence Day ceremony at Golconda Fort, a symbolic venue that reflects the state’s cultural and historical pride.

The Chief Secretary emphasized inter-departmental coordination to ensure a seamless, dignified, and festive celebration. He directed all officials to leave no stone unturned in organizing the event with grandeur and respect to the nation’s spirit.

  • Police Department has been tasked with developing a detailed traffic route map, organizing designated pickup and drop-off points, and implementing tight security arrangements for both VIP guests and the general public.
  • The Roads and Buildings Department will illuminate major public buildings—including the Telangana Legislative Assembly, High Court, Raj Bhavan, and Secretariat—as well as statues of Telangana Thalli, to reflect the Independence Day spirit.
  • The Cultural Department will organize patriotic and cultural performances at Golconda Fort, showcasing the rich heritage of Telangana.
  • The Fire Services Department will be on high alert, deploying personnel and firefighting equipment across all venues to manage emergencies, if any.
  • The Power Department was instructed to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply, especially during illumination activities and cultural performances.

Several high-ranking officials including DGP Jitender, Special Chief Secretary (TR&B) Vikas Raj, Principal Secretary Navin Mittal, Special CIPR Priyanka, and Hyderabad Collector Harichandana were present at the meeting. Each department has been directed to execute responsibilities with precision, ensuring that Independence Day 2025 in Telangana is memorable and incident-free.
