Pedda Mangalaram village farmer Anjiah gets a cow from Chilkur Temple. He was gifted a cow as he had lost two buffaloes due to electrocution.
Chilkur Balaji Temple continues to help farmers distressed by the loss of cattle in accidents such as lightning or electrocution across the State.
Moved by the plight of farmers whose cattle died of electrocution, lighting or any other accident, Chief Priest of Chilkur Temple C S Rangarajan with the help of Goseva entusiast Pavan Kumar, has helped several farmers across the State in the past couple of years.
Earlier a farmer from Siddipet who had lost his cattle in eloctrocution was given a cow, few farmers from neighbouring villages had recieved Bulls.
Since he has been receiving several requests from farmers across the State, the Archaka requests the Society to come forward and help such farmers in distress.
The farmer considers a cow, bull or buffalo as his family member, the death of cattle pushes him/her into financial problems. “We have been seeing several farmers’ families crying inconsolably over carcasses of cattle as if they had lost a family member, and this made me request Rangarajan swamy to help them…” Pavan Kumar who assists the priest in these social causes says.
The Archaka calls upon people to participate in the ‘Gift a Cattle’ campaign launched elsewhere to support farmers. Ultimately, the farmer should not be orphaned.
