Wang Yi also recalled the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Tianjin in August last year. He said the meeting took place after the Kazan Summit and played a key role in improving ties. According to him, the consensus reached by the two leaders is now being implemented at the field level. As a result, bilateral trade between the two countries has reached a peak.

Meanwhile, Wang Yi stressed that India and China should work together within the BRICS alliance. He said BRICS provides a platform where both countries share common goals. India is chairing BRICS this year, while China will take over the chair next year. Therefore, he believes coordination between the two nations can positively influence the global economy.
