City Auto Drivers JAC Demands 20K New Auto Permits
Hyderabad, Sept.26 (Maxim News): The Telangana State Auto Drivers JAC has demanded that the State Government issue 20,000 new auto permits in the city in view of the increase in the city population and for self-employment of jobless youth and also to stop the ongoing auto black marketing in twin cities.
Addressing the media here today, JAC leader Mohd Amanulla Khan alleged that the “wrong” policies of the government were responsible for the ongoing auto black marketing in the city. A new auto which costs Rs 1,70,000 was being sold in black market for Rs 3,30,300 at present. Both the government and the police remained silent spectators and no action was being taken against the culprits.
Amanulla Khan said there was no restriction on the diesel-run Ola, Uber Cab new vehicle registration and issue of permit in the city, but surprisingly there is a restriction on the issue of fresh LPG/CMG-driven autos. This was nothing but step-motherly treatment of the TRS government towards poor auto drivers.
The Auto drivers will hold protest ‘dharna’ on September 30 in front of the Transport Commissioner’s office at Khairatabad demanding immediate issue of 20,000 new auto permits.
TADJAC leaders B Venkatesham, Sathi Reddy, Mirza Rafathulla Baig, Mohd. Rafeeq and Marraiah also spoke. (Maxim News)
