The seizure highlights ongoing efforts by state authorities to monitor and regulate ration distribution channels. Officials said the action aims to curb black marketing and ensure that rice allocated under public welfare schemes reaches the intended beneficiaries. Civil supply enforcement has intensified checks across Karimnagar district following repeated complaints about stock hoarding.

Authorities warned other rice mill owners and traders against storing ration stock illegally. “Such operations will continue until all irregularities in the supply chain are addressed,” said a senior official. The department urged citizens to report any similar hoarding activities to prevent exploitation of government-provided resources.
