The results of higher secondary examination conducted by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council were declared today, with Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal congratulating all successful students.
The overall pass percentage in Arts stream was 73.16 per cent, while in Science was 86.24 per cent and in Commerce, the percentage was 82.72 per cent.. The top position in arts stream has been secured by Alaka Das of Krishnaguru College of Barpeta.
In science stream, the top position has been notched by Rajababu Saikia of Ramanuj Junior College of Nagaon and in commerce, Prashant Goel of KC Das Commerce College of Guwahati. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sonowal extended greetings to the science, arts and commerce stream toppers and all those who passed in the examination and wished them a bright future ahead.
The Chief Minister urged the students to become good human beings, apart from being successful in their academic careers and lead a life of high moral values.
