CM KCR Made Crucial Comments at BRS General Body Meeting

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, led a party general body meeting at Telangana Bhavan, where he delivered some crucial comments. The Chief Minister revealed the survey report and issued a warning to some party MLAs ahead of the upcoming election.

CM KCR made it clear to the MLAs that they must serve their constituencies to the best of their ability in order to retain their ticket for the Assembly elections. He emphasized that non-performing MLAs will not be given a chance.

This was the first general body meeting to be held after the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) was renamed as the Bhartiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS). The meeting was attended by Ministers, MLAs, MPs, MLCs, ZP chairpersons, DCCB chairpersons, state executive members, and district presidents.

With less than a year left for the Assembly elections, the Chief Minister is expected to hold extensive discussions and devise an action plan for the party and its activities at the State and national level. The meeting will also deliberate on measures to take government schemes closer to the people and create awareness on their impact on the lives of people in Telangana.

The State Cabinet meeting is also scheduled to meet at Pragathi Bhavan on Thursday at 2 pm. Apart from discussing government programmes, the Cabinet is likely to take crucial decisions pertaining to their implementation. The names of two candidates to be nominated to the State Legislative Council under the Governor’s quota are also expected to be announced during the meeting.

KCR spoke about the national platforms and going to the national level. He said that the Gujarat model failed utterly and the country is looking for a strong alternative.
