CM KCR sanctions Rs 5 crore for the restoration of Karnataka Sahitya Mandira

Hyderabad, Mar 3 (Maxim News): Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) decided to restore the Sahitya Vedika in Hyderabad for Kannadigas on the request of Amberpet MLA Kaleru Venkatesh and Karnataka residents living in Hyderabad as well as across the state.

The MLA met the KCR at Pragathi Bhavan today. KCR sanctioned Rs. 5 crores for the renovation of Karnataka Sahitya Mandira in Kachiguda in Hyderabad. He ordered the local MLA and officials to take action in this regard. He suggested Venkatesh develop infrastructure and design the auditorium at Sahitya Mandir so that it can be used for community needs along with literary and cultural programs.

In a statement, Chandrashekhar Rao said the State government respects the literary and cultural traditions of the people from other States and regions who have settled in Hyderabad for decades. He assured that the efforts of the State government would continue to preserve the way of life of Hyderabad, which continues to represent “Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb” symbolizing the confluence of various communities.

MLA Venkatesham, who took up the issue with the Chief Minister, thanked the latter for sanctioning funds for the redevelopment of the Karnataka Sahitya Mandira.

CM KCR met Foxconn Chairman, Mr. Young Liu, and announced the company’s decision to invest in Telangana

Earlier, Taiwan-based Foxconn, one of the world’s largest electronics and technology manufacturing companies, is all set to invest in Telangana. The agreement was signed at Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Foxconn chairman Young Liu, along with other officials on Thursday, March 2. As a part of the deal, Foxconn will set up an electronics manufacturing facility in the state, which has the potential to generate more than one lakh jobs over a period of 10 years, as per the state government.

Commenting on the deal, CM KCR said, “The government is on a mission to transform Telangana for the better and has undertaken several marquee projects to realize the vision of Bangaru Telangana. Foxconn’s unit will help in generating large-scale employment to youth and will help in attracting more such industries to the state.” CM KCR emphasized that Telangana considers Taiwan a natural partner and that the state is glad to be a part of Foxconn’s growth story.
