CM Naidu Launches Jonnagiri Gold Mining Project

Kurnool/Hyderabad, June 24 (Maxim News): A new chapter has begun in the industrial and economic sectors of Andhra Pradesh. AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu today (Wednesday) visited Jonnagiri in Kurnool district and inaugurated the prestigious ‘Jonnagiri Gold Mining Project ‘ . As part of this visit, CM Chandrababu also participated in other development programs in Kurnool district. The government believes that the Jonnagiri Gold Mining Project will play a crucial role in boosting the economic development of AP.

Employment and job opportunities for youth..

This mining project will accelerate the regional development of Rayalaseema and provide a large number of employment and job opportunities to the local youth. This project will become a new compass for industrial growth and the mining sector in AP and will help attract more investments. The Jonnagiri Gold Mining Project is going to become a game changer for the industrial sector of Andhra Pradesh. Total Investment: Two leading mining companies have jointly invested a whopping Rs. 405 crore for this prestigious gold mining project.

Management companies: GeoMysore Services and Deccan Gold Mines jointly undertook this gold mining project.

Gold production targets in three phases..

Plans have been prepared to increase gold production in a phased manner at the Jonnagiri mining field.

First phase: Mining will begin with a gold production of 400 kg per year.

Second phase: In the next period, it will be increased to 900 kg per year.

Final stage: Once the project is fully operational, the goal is to produce 2 tons of gold per year.

Special training for women and youth..

This project is not only providing employment to the locals but also making them skilled. Local women and youth are being trained with the help of ‘simulator machines’ to safely drive the very heavy vehicles used in the mining area. CM Chandrababu Naidu himself visited this training center and congratulated them. Later, CM Chandrababu Naidu flagged off and inaugurated the heavy vehicles that transport mineral-rich soil.
