CM Protecting Professional Communities: Minister
Hyderabad, Sept.16 (Maxim News): Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud today informed the House that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has protected professional communities.
During question hour, he replied to queries by members Prakash Goud and others, the minister said the TRS Government has revived caste and community-based professions in the State. To make the State free from cheap liquor, the government took measures, he said. Srinivas Goud also said some 109 families relying on cheap liquor sale were offered rehabilitation in Keshampet mandal of Ranga Reddy district.
The State government has revived the communities like fishermen and Yadavas by special programs and offering fish seed and sheep units among them, he said. K Chandrashekhar Rao was committed to the welfare of the poor and community professions, he said. He also claimed that the government was providing Rs 5 lakh financial assistance of insurance amount for kin of deceased toddy tappers while the previous Congress and TDP governments ignored them.
Besides, the government was extending all support to the toddy tappers to grow trees to eke out livelihood, he added. (Maxim News)
