He directed officials to write to the Central Information Department, requesting cancellation of the NTV license.

Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy warned that strict action would be taken against anyone spreading fake news on social media. He also instructed party cadres to give a befitting reply to BRS and YCP, which he said were supporting the issue. The controversy centers on a report aired by NTV claiming that a minister was having an affair with a woman AIS officer. Following this, the Telangana IAS Officers Association reacted strongly and expressed deep anger over the broadcast. The association stated that spreading such stories against women officers who worked hard to enter the civil services damages their self respect.

Later, the association issued a letter demanding an immediate public apology from the NTV News Channel. It highlighted that such reporting harms the dignity of women officers. The police, meanwhile, proceeded with legal action based on the complaint and confirmed the arrest of three NTV journalists in the case. The developments have placed NTV under intense scrutiny, with the license cancellation request marking a major escalation.
