CM Revanth Reddy Sanctions Rs. 85 Lakh Relief For Victims Of Gulzar Houz Fire Tragedy
Hyderabad, July 11, 2025 — In a heartfelt response to the devastating Gulzar Houz fire accident near Charminar, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has sanctioned ₹85 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support the families who lost loved ones in the tragedy.
The massive fire, which erupted on May 18 in a commercial complex in one of the Old City’s busiest areas, claimed multiple lives and left several families struggling with grief and financial hardship.
According to government sources, the ₹85 lakh compensation will be equitably distributed among the bereaved families to assist them in their time of need. The Chief Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to extending timely help to victims of such unforeseen disasters.
State Government Pledges Support and Safety Measures
CM Revanth Reddy extended his condolences to the affected families and assured that preventive measures are being strengthened to avoid such tragic incidents in the future. The fire had sparked widespread debate on fire safety norms and enforcement in Hyderabad’s older commercial zones.
