CM Revanth Visited Medaram Offer Special Pujas To Sammakka And Saralamma

Mulugu/Hyderabad, Sept. 23 (Maxim News): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy visited medaram on tuesday. He performed special pujas to Sammakka and Saralamma. Later, he offered a huge amount of gold (68 kg of jaggery) to the goddesses and paid his obeisance.

The Chief Minister will review the work undertaken for the organisation of the Sammakka-Saralamma Mahajatara to be held from January 28 to 31, 2026. He will then speak to ministers, public representatives, the Collector, other officials and priests, officials said.

Paying tribute to tribal traditions, the government is embarking on large-scale development works in medaram to enable lakhs of devotees to visit the premises where the shrines of Sammakka-Saralamma, Pagididdaraju and Govindaraja are located. In addition to the construction of large-scale welcome arches to accommodate the fair, which is attended by crores of devotees, necessary arrangements will be made to ensure easy access to the shrines, visiting the shrines, offering gold (jaggery) and taking a bath in the Jampanna stream.

For the first time. CM Revanth Reddy is paying special attention to the arrangements for the medaram jatara. He will visit here as part of that. The Chief Minister will review the management of the Jatara and new structures with Medaram priests, tribal elders, ministers, tribal MPs, MLAs, MLCs and other dignitaries in Medaram on Tuesday.

CM Revanth Reddy, who held a review with ministers, MLAs and senior officials in Hyderabad on the 20th of this month, will review it again after conducting a field inspection, official sources said. (Maxim News)
