Cold wave in Telugu states till February 2: IMD

Cold wave | Hyderabad, Jan. 29: The India Meteorological Department has forecast intensified cold conditions across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh until February 2.

According to the IMD, night temperatures are likely to drop by two to three degrees below normal. As a result, cold wave conditions will persist, especially during late night and early morning hours.

Cold wave warning for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

In Andhra Pradesh, cold conditions will be severe in coastal districts and Rayalaseema.

Meanwhile, dense fog is expected until 9 am on Thursday in Manyam, Alluri Sitarama Raju, Eluru, Dr Ambedkar Konaseema, Krishna, and Vizianagaram districts, the Visakhapatnam Cyclone Warning Centre said.

In Telangana, cold intensity has increased across all districts.

Moreover, the Hyderabad Meteorological Centre said similar conditions will continue for another week. Therefore, officials advised people to avoid venturing outdoors during early morning hours unless necessary.
