Complete Works In Villages, Increase Covid Facilities: Dayakar
Hyderabad, May 10 (Maxim News): Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister, Errabelli Dayakar Rao today instructed the officials concerned to see that remaining works in the villages be taken up on a war-footing. The minister held a high level meeting at his minister quarters residence in Hyderabad.
Informing that the Centre allotted Rs 217 crore through 15th finance commission for the development works in the villages. The minister asked the officials to complete them with active coordination.
The minister stressed the need for more health facilities in the villages to tackle corona pandemic. Provide more oxygen, beds, injections and health staff in all villages and provide better treatment and services to the people facing corona problems, the minister said.
He reviewed on PMRGY and other development works in the rural areas of the state. The minister instructed that the workers engaged for the works should follow corona protocols. They must wear masks and maintain physical distance while doing works.
He asked to take up works such as facilities and infrastructure, plantation, green areas, parks, sanitation and others. The funds have to be utilized in a proper way as the state government is giving adequately for the villages development he said.
Despite state getting less revenue amid corona pandemic, the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is kind enough to give funds for villages development, he said.
He also asked the Sarpanches and village secretaries to protect the saplings planted during Haritha Haram. Complete the works of cemeteries and ensure they are in use for the common public, the minister said.
The officials informed that the government gave Rs 1554 cr to construct 12270 public cemeteries as 11250 cemeteries built so far. (Maxim News)
