Conference on Stress Management inaugurated

Hyderabad, Nov.10 (Maxim News): International Stress Management Association (ISMA) and GITAM Hyderabad Business School (GHBS) have been jointly organizing a two-day 5th International Conference on ‘Stress Management’ (ICSM-2018) at Hotel The Manohar at Begumpet. Sailaja Kiron, Managing Director, Margadarsi Chit Funds, who was the chief guest, inaugurated the conference by lighting a lamp on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Sailaja Kiron said expectation was the mother of stress creation, so nobody should expect anything even from own family members or proprietor. She advised that everyday work themselves. She said physical activity was a huge stress relief. The organizers presented P.V.R.K. Prasad Memorial Award to Sailaja Kiron.

Prof. Mark Corpley, University of Surrey, UK; Prof. G.A. Rama Rao, Principal, School of Science, GITAM, Hyderabad; Dr C.N. Gopinath Reddy, IPS, (Retd.), and Ian Shakespeare, Director, ICSMP, Australia were guests of honor. Earlier, Dr B. Udaya Kumar Reddy, Conference Chair, explained about the objectives of the two-day international conference.

ICSM presented National and International Stress Management Awards to the organizations and Professionals for their contribution in the areas of Stress Management and for adopting efficient methods for preventing stress at workplace. Dr Randall John, Dr Mark Corpley, Dr Yasmin, Gita Challa, Dr Venkat Reddy and Dr Vijay Laxmi received the awards. Hundred hours of learning certificates were also presented to Stress Management Professionals (SMPs). Some 225 delegates from the UK, Australia, Iran and Malaysia were present and some 95 papers were presented.
