The party lost power in the 2023 Assembly elections. Since then, BRS leaders have focused on rebuilding the organisation. They have launched membership drives, cadre training programmes, and committee restructuring from the village level upward.

Party leaders believe 2026 will be crucial for strengthening the cadre and preparing for the next electoral battle. Therefore, the leadership wants to take the party directly to the people through large-scale outreach programmes.

Recently, the party organised a farmers’ conference in Warangal. It is now preparing separate meetings with youth and student leaders at Telangana Bhavan. Senior leaders, including KTR and Harish Rao, continue to target the government through public meetings and media interactions.

Youth to Play Key Role in BRS Strategy

The BRS leadership wants to attract more young voters. Party leaders believe youth will play a decisive role in the next Assembly elections. As a result, the party plans special programmes for students, job aspirants, and young professionals.

Sources said the party may give greater importance to young leaders in future organisational roles. It may also consider them for election tickets in the future.

District units have reportedly started identifying local issues. They are preparing reports for the State leadership. These reports will help the party address regional concerns and strengthen its presence in weaker areas.

The party believes the programme can help reconnect with voters and energise grassroots workers. Leaders also expect it to strengthen the organisation in areas where the party lost support.

At the same time, discussions continue on a statewide padayatra by KTR. The proposed march would focus on youth, unemployed aspirants, farmers, and urban middle-class voters. Party leaders see it as an opportunity to engage directly with people and expand the party’s support base.

The BRS is also keeping a close watch on political developments in Greater Hyderabad and other urban centres. Leaders believe these regions will play a major role in future elections.
