Cong Holds Padayatra: Gandhi Jayanthi

Hyderabad, Oct.2 (Maxim News): AICC State in-charge RC Kuntia on Wednesday said that father of nation Mahatma Gandhi was an ideal and philosophy of the country. He said that they had given a call for the party workers to hold nation wide padayatras on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Gandhi. He made these remarks while addressing a gathering in the city. Kuntia took part in a padayatra held from Charminar to Gandhi Bhavan to mark the birth anniversary of Gandhi.

Speaking on the occasion he said that the life of Gandhi was an inspiration for the whole countrymen. The padayatra was attended by leaders of the party like former minister K. Jana Reddy, CLP Leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Ponnam Prabhakar, Kusuma Kumar, Ponnala Laxmaiah, Marri Shashidhar Reddy, MLA D. Sridhar Babu, and others. Later, the birth anniversary celebrations of Gandhi were held under the supervision of party’s general secretary Afzaluddin at Prakasam hall.(Maxim News)
