Cong Not Digesting Early Polls: Srihari
Hyderabad, Sept.15 (Maxim News): Caretaker Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today exhorted people to give fresh mandate to the TRS and to TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao to develop the State further. He slammed the Opposition parties and arch rivals joining hands to take on the might of the TRS and also the BJP Government at the Centre for continuing atrocities against Dalits across the nation.
Talking to mediapersons here today, Srihari asked as to why the Congress got stomach pain at the TRS Government’s decision for early polls. The Congress seems to be intolerant at the early polls and trying for grand alliance, he charged. Srihari admitted there are differences among TRS leaders and activists on tickets. However, they are negligible and will be sorted out in a week.
“Setting aside differences, we need to develop Telangana further by giving a fresh mandate to the leadership of KCR, who denied changing the names of the TRS candidates announced”, he said. Admitting that there was some discontent among leadership in some segments, he said the TRS will win the elections with thumping majority. “KCR gave me more respect than expected and much responsibility to shoulder to serve the people”, Srihari averred.
“As a disciplined activist and leader, I will abide by KCR leadership and take people’s woes and grief to the notice of KCR. The BJP has no right to talk on reservations as it failed to give its nod”, he said. When there was no leadership, parties may not get Chief Minister post, while Mayavathi got the top post being a Dalit, he pointed out. (Maxim News)
