Congress Accuses BRS Of False Claims In Jubilee Hills
- TPCC says BRS misleading voters by claiming Congress projects as its own
- Nizamuddin cites Tolichowki U-turn, Rs 300 crore civic works under Revanth Reddy
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) spokesperson Syed Nizamuddin on Tuesday lashed out at the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) for allegedly taking credit for development projects implemented by the Congress government in Jubilee Hills. He accused the BRS of misleading the public by showcasing Congress-led civic works as their own achievements during the ongoing by-election campaign.
Addressing the media in Hyderabad, Nizamuddin said the Congress government under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had sanctioned and completed several long-pending infrastructure and urban improvement projects over the past 22 months. “It is unfortunate that those who did nothing for ten years are now shooting campaign videos in front of Congress-built projects and calling them their own,” he said.
Citing a specific example, Nizamuddin pointed to the newly constructed U-turn on Tolichowki Road, which was approved in response to heavy traffic congestion following public requests. He said the project was initiated and sanctioned by the Congress government as part of their urban development agenda. “Yet, a BRS leader shamelessly filmed a video claiming it was done on their representation,” he remarked, calling it a deliberate attempt to confuse voters.
He clarified that all the ongoing projects in Jubilee Hills were part of a comprehensive plan to improve Hyderabad’s civic infrastructure, not a short-term response to the by-election. “These works are part of the state government’s continuous governance efforts. The Congress is focused on delivery, not publicity,” he said. He noted that the government’s projects in the area, covering roads, drainage, traffic management, and public-space upgrades, were worth nearly Rs 300 crore. “Every rupee spent is visible on the ground, and people can see the difference Congress governance has made in less than two years,” Nizamuddin added.

The Congress spokesperson alleged that the BRS’s recent behaviour reflected political desperation. “After ten years of neglect, the BRS now wants to steal credit from a government that is actually delivering. Their campaign videos are not proof of work—they are proof of guilt,” he said. He also referred to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s recent statements, reaffirming the government’s commitment to equitable development in all divisions of Hyderabad, with a focus on long-ignored localities.
Urging voters to verify political claims, Nizamuddin said, “Whenever someone tells you this road or this junction was done because of them, just ask—when did the work start, and who sanctioned it? The truth will speak for itself. Jubilee Hills has started seeing progress only under Congress.” He concluded that the Congress government believed in “visible work, not invisible promises,” asserting that the party’s intent and transparency set it apart from its rivals.
