Congress Activists Agitated At Bolarum PS, Demanding Release Of Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad, Jan 2 (Maxim News): Congress activists staged a dharna and agitated at the Bollaram Police Station, demanding to release TPCC President and MP Revanth Reddy immediately, failing which, they threatened to intensify their protest further.

It may be recalled that Revanth Reddy who was getting ready to go the Dharna Chowk today, on the issue of diverting the Central funds of Rs. 35,000 crores meant for the development of Gram Panchayat by the BRS President and Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao, the Police came to Revanth Reddy house and arrested him forcefully. The Congress workers raised slogans against KCR and said they are doing dharna in a democratic manner, it is outrageous to arrest them, They warned that Revanth Reddy should be released immediately, otherwise the agitation will escalate further, they expressed their anger saying that it is a shame on the part of the KCR government to suppress the Congress struggle on the diverting of Central funds issue (Maxim News)
