The Congress party announced that it would be fielding P Balram Naik as its candidate for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections on March 23.
Monday is the final day for filing of nominations. In an announcement in the evening, the party in a release said Naik’s candidature was cleared by its national president Rahul Gandhi.
The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti had announced on Sunday afternoon its three candidates for the three seats and is confident of winning them all.
