Congress Appoints Two Muslims As DCC Chiefs for Telangana

Congress | Hyderabad, Dec 10 (Maxim News): The Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has approved the proposal for the appointment of DCC Presidents, Vice Presidents and General Secretaries, in the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, with immediate effect.

All India Congress Committee (AICC) has appointed 26 District Congress Committee (DCC) Presidents in Telangana out of which two are Muslims.

Congress Appoints Two Muslims

The two DCC presidents are Sameer Waliullah for Hyderabad district and Sajid Khan for Adilabad district.

The Congress party has also divided Greater Hyderabad into two i.e. Hyderabad and Khairtabad for the new Khairtabad District president Rohin Reddy has been appointed while Sameer Waliullah will remain as the DCC President of Hyderabad.

This decision has been taken by the Congress party with the aim to maintain close relations with the people, as Hyderabad city has become the major cosmopolitan, for this the congress felt it would be appropriate to divide into two to maintain close contact with the people. (Maxim News)
