Congress, BJP Orchestrating RTC Stir For Political Gain: Kamalakar

Karimnagar, Oct.13 (Maxim News): BC Welfare Minister Gangula Karunakar today slammed the Congress and the BJP parties for trying to take undue advantage of the RTC strike for political mileage. The TSRTC merger issue was not in the TRS Manifesto and the government also did not have such an idea, he clarified.

Talking to mediapersons here on Sunday, Gangula charged the Opposition parties with launching vilification campaigning against the TRS Government. Expressing concern over the RTC crew strike entering ninth day, Kamalakar said the TRS government was keen on providing bus facility to the people. He also charged the Opposition parties with trying to defame the government by backing the illegal RTC crew strike. He also said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has been trying to strengthen the RTC and there was no plan to privatize it.

He said the KCR government had already offered Rs 3,303-cr assistance to the ailing RTC to rejuvenate it. He charged the Congress and BJP of trying to misguide people by supporting the RTC strike. He accused the Opposition parties of playing with the lives of the working community for their political mileage, he fumed. He also pointed out that Telangana was only State that gave 44% fitment and 26% interim relief to the RTC employees. (Maxim News)
