Congress candidate Palvai Sravanthi files nomination papers from Munugodu

Hyderabad, Oct.14 (NSS): Congress party candidate Palvai Sravanthi today filed her nomination papers from Munugodu Assembly constituency for the upcoming by-election. TPCC president party and MP A. Revanth Reddy, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, party MLA D. Seethakka and others took part in the nomination filing program. Sravanthi filed her nomination papers with the returning officer of the constituency at Chandur tehsildar office.

Addressing a public meeting on the occasion, Revanth Reddy came down heavily on political rivals TRS and BJP and alleged that the two parties were trying to induce the voters by offering money. He said the voters were not ready to sell themselves in exchange of money. Noting that the pending works of Dindi project would be completed by spending ₹5000 crore, he asked the TRS and BJP candidates if they could get the funds needed to complete the pending works.

Targeting State minister KTR, he said the former promised to adopt Kodangal Assembly constituency for its development in the last Assembly elections in order to defeat him and added that the minister failed to fulfil his promise after the victory of the ruling party candidate.

He made it clear that the strength of the Congress was its workers and leaders and added that the party workers could not be bought by anybody. He said the party workers were giving them the much needed moral support in the ongoing by-election campaigning. (NSS)
