Radio MANUU Launch Set For Hyderabad Airwaves

Hyderabad, March 24: Radio MANUU 90.0 FM is set to begin its journey as a new community radio station at Maulana Azad National Urdu University. The station will be inaugurated on March 24, 2026, at 12:00 noon at the university campus.

Rajeev Kumar Jain, Director General of All India Radio, Prasar Bharati, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, will inaugurate the station. Meanwhile, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor of MANUU, will preside over the event. The launch marks a significant addition to community media in Hyderabad.

The Instructional Media Centre of MANUU will operate Radio MANUU 90.0 FM. According to Mr. Rizwan Ahamd, Director of IMC, the station will focus on local issues and youth-oriented programmes. It will also support skill development initiatives. Therefore, the platform aims to connect closely with the community.

The station will also promote language and culture, particularly Urdu. This focus highlights the university’s commitment to preserving linguistic heritage. Meanwhile, the programming is expected to engage students and local audiences through relevant content.

During the inauguration event, several elements of the station will be unveiled. These include the official logo, station ID, tagline, jingle, and teaser of Radio MANUU. In addition, the Radio Gallery at the university will also be inaugurated as part of the programme.

Later, the event will feature a live broadcast session. The session will include Chief Guest Shri Rajeev Kumar Jain and Vice Chancellor Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan. RJ Aamir Badr will host the live broadcast. This segment will offer listeners a direct introduction to the station’s format and vision.

The launch of Radio MANUU 90.0 FM signals a step towards strengthening community engagement through radio. It also provides a platform for discussions on local concerns, education, and cultural topics. Therefore, the initiative is expected to play a meaningful role in community communication.
