Congress fields Jana Reddy for Nagarjuna Sagar bypoll
Hyderabad, March 17: Telangana Congress has announced its candidate for the ensuing Nagarjuna Sagar assembly constituency, the seat which fell vacant with the death of the Nomula Narsimhaiah.
All India Congress Committee (AICC) chief secretary Mukul Vasnik said that the Congress president Sonia Gandhi has approved the name of Jana Reddy.
Meanwhile the TRS and BJP are in dilemma. TRS had plans to field one of the family members of late Nomula Narasimhaiah considering the sentiment factor. But it backfired in Dubbaka yet the TRS sources are not ruling out allotting the ticket to Nomula’s son.
BJP wants a strong candidate as this election will be different compared to Dubbaka. It will be eyeing other party leaders for sure and once the election notification will be released, we can see some interesting political developments.
