Congress Holds Protest, Demands Govt to Solve Ryots Problems

Hyderabad, Nov.27 (Maxim News): Congress party held a protest program demanding the State and Central governments to take steps for the procurement of paddy from the farmers of Telangana.

All senior party leaders including TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy and the party MPs and MLAs took part in the protest program held Indira Park in the city.

Speaking on the occasion, Revanth alleged that the State government was not providing Rythu Bhima insurance scheme benefits to the farmers, who hate lost their lives at market yards .

Referring to the statement of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao that they had built irrigation projects by spending ₹1 lakh crore, he asked the CM as to why he was not buying the paddy from the farmers.

He made it clear that it was the congress party which had provided 9-hour long free power to the farmers of the state.

He said that it was unfortunate that CM KCR was blaming the congress party for bringing in several welfare programs for the farmers.

Stating that the Central government has agreed to procure 60 lakh metric tonnes of the paddy , he said that the state government had procured only 8 lakh metric tonnes of the paddy. He made it clear that they would fight for the farmers of the state till the TRS and BJP had procured the paddy.

MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that there was a need for the Congress party to protect the farmers of the state for being the party , which achieved the freedom of the country.

He alleged that CM KCR had not sought the appointment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and added that the Chief Minister did not have any humanity. He alleged that KCR was doing politics only to earn money. (Maxim News)
