Congress Leader Shaik Abdullah Lead Protest Against France’s President Macron
Hyderabad, October 30: Led by Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Minorities Department Chairman Shaik Abdullah Sohail, hundreds of Congress activists and local Muslims, held massive protest after Friday prayers at Masjid-e-Rahmania, Prabhat Nagar in Erragadda, against French President Emmanuel Macron over his remarks on Islam.
They shouted slogans against Macron while holding banners and set ablaze his posters. They also called for a boycott of French products.
Speaking to media persons later, Abdullah Sohail said that the remarks of the French President regarding Islam cannot be tolerated. He strongly condemned the BJP Government at the Centre for supporting the French President and described it as a deliberate move to provoke the Indian Muslims. “We cannot tolerate anyone who speaks against Prophet Muhammed (PBUH). We strongly condemn the Islamophobia of the French President Macron,” he said while demanding that India should not support anyone who hurts the religious sentiments of any community.
Abdullah Sohail also gave a call for boycott of France-made products in Telangana. He urged all the wholesale and retail outlets across the Telangana State, especially Hyderabad, to withdraw the France-made products with immediate effects. Else, he warned that the Muslims would stop visiting the shops which are selling France-made products. He also demanded that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao officially condemn the France’s President Macron and impose a ban on French products in Telangana State. (Maxim News)
