Across the united Adilabad district, aspirants have begun meeting senior party leaders and legislators. Congress MLAs including Bojju Patel, Prem Sagar Rao, Gaddam Vinod, and Minister Gaddam Vivekanand, along with constituency incharges such as Srihari Rao, Narayana Rao Patel, Ade Gajender, Kandi Srinivas Reddy, and Ajmeera Shyam Naik, have become focal points for lobbying.

Party workers are making rounds, hoping their loyalty will translate into nominations.

Congress nominated posts likely in cooperatives and temples

The government had earlier cancelled the boards of Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies, District Cooperative Central Banks, and District Cooperative Marketing Societies.

Initially, there was discussion about holding elections. However, the government has now clearly shifted towards appointing managing committees through the nominated system.

If implemented as expected, more than 400 Congress leaders and workers across the united Adilabad district may receive posts.

Meanwhile, farmer leaders within the Congress who remained active are likely to benefit if cooperative chairman posts are filled through nominations.

Many leaders have remained without positions for nearly 12 years. Therefore, they are pushing hard this time.

At the same time, the tenure of several temple committees has ended. This has further raised hopes among party workers.

In Nirmal district, the Devarakota temple governing body has already been replaced, and the new committee has taken charge.

Across the united district, some temple committees have completed their term, while others will expire soon.

With fresh appointments expected, there is growing talk that new faces will be given opportunities. The party high command has asked constituency incharges and district Congress presidents to identify deserving leaders.

Based on their reports, the government is expected to finalise nominations, possibly before Sankranti.

DCCB and DCMS chairman posts spark intense Congress race

At the district level, key institutions such as the District Cooperative Central Bank and District Cooperative Marketing Society are also expected to get nominated boards.

The DCCB chairman post, which carries MLA level status, is likely to see intense competition. The DCMS chairman post is also drawing strong interest.

Party circles are abuzz with speculation that the united Adilabad district may get one post each for eastern and western regions.

However, it remains unclear whether the government will stick to the old district structure or reorganise posts according to new districts.

Sources say primary agricultural societies may increase, but DCCB and DCMS boards may follow the old district format.

If so, competition will be fierce. There is already talk that two constituency incharges are eyeing the DCCB chairman post.
