Congress Leaders Pay Tributes Rajiv Gandhi On His Death Anniversary

Hyderabad, May 21 (Maxim News): The 29th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was held in the city today. TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Party MP A. Revanth Reddy, PCC senior leaders H. Venugopal , Rohinva Reddy, Former Minister Marri Shashidhar Reddy, former MLC Ramulu Naik and others paid floral tributes at Rajiv Gandhi statue in Somajiguda. They also garlanded his statue on the occasion . The program was organised by senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao.

Speaking on the occasion, TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy recalled the services rendered by Rajiv Gandhi to the country. He said that Rajiv Gandhi had sacrificed his life for world peace. He said that former prime minister had worked hard for the development of the villages and added that country had become a leading country in the IT sector due to the hard work of Rajiv Gandhi. He administered a pledge to the gathering to observe May 21 as international anti terrorist day.

Party MP Revanth Reddy said that the family members of Rajiv Gandhi had shown the path of development to the country. He said that Rajiv Gandhi was responsible for the IT revolution in the country. He also said that Rajiv Gandhi had encouraged youngsters to take up IT as their career and helped them in becoming the CEOs of the world’s best IT companies. He said that both Indira Gandhi and her son Rajiv Gandhi had worked to make the country number one in the entire world. He also added that the two leaders had sacrificed their last drop of blood for the development of the Nation. (Maxim News)
