Hyderabad, Nov.29 (Maxim News): Irrigation Minister Minister T Harish Rao today alleged that AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi and TD Chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu were resorting to misinformation campaigning against TRS Chief and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Stating that the TD government was facing ire of the farmers and people in the neighbouring State, Harish said Rahul should ask Naidu as to why he did not keep his manifesto promises.
Talking to mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan here today Harish Rao accused Naidu of dumping the people of his State by not keeping the promises made. As many as 600 promises were made by Naidu regime and failed to waive crop loans, help the dwacra women, who were awaiting help. Naidu wrote a letter to TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy and sought to know as to why the Congress failed to implement 2004 and 2009 manifesto promises during the Congress regime.
Harish Rao expressed dismay and discontent that how the TPCC got alliance with the TD for the polls in Telangana while the AP Congress fighting the TD from day one. Chandrababu Naidu lacks credibility and the Congress did not enjoy people’s confidence and the Kutami of these two parties will face serious debacle in the polls on December 7, he said. Harish Rao slammed the Congress leadership for finding fault with the hike in the cost of the projects.
The Congress, which raised the project cost of Pranahitha-Chevella from Rs 17,000 crore to Rs 40,000 crore, has no right to question the rationale of the projects. When the ayacut is increased to significant extent, automatically the cost of any project will increase, he said. He also said the TRS regime has redesigned the projects to tap more waters to flourish the irrigation and agriculture sectors for the cause of the farmers.
Naidu has to apologize to the AP people for deceiving them for not completing any work, he said. He also ridiculed that the TD chief snapped ties with NDA regime of Narendra Modi after failing to get special status for the his State and swiftly forgot secularism mantra. If Naidu has any affection on the Telangana, he should clarify as to why he wrote letters against Telangana projects to the Centre. The Congress alliance with the TD and others will lead to a serious debacle by losing their deposits as the people are with the TRS for welfare and development. Naidu, he said, has time and again stalled the division of the High Court and Telangana growth. (Maxim News)
