Congress Turns ‘20% Commission Sarkar’ – Secretariat Erupts in Protest
Hyderabad, Mar 8 (Maxim News): The Congress government is now under fire for running a massive bribe-for-bills scam, forcing contractors and employees to pay a 20% commission to get their rightful dues. The situation turned explosive as angry civil contractors stormed the Secretariat, demanding immediate clearance of their pending bills.
With ₹6,000 crore pending, small contractors who took loans for development projects are struggling to even pay interest. But instead of clearing their bills, the Congress government is allegedly demanding commissions just like Karnataka’s infamous ‘40% BJP government’.
When the contractors reached Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka’s office for answers, he fled the scene, refusing to meet them. Security forces were deployed to block the protesters, leading to dramatic scenes at the Secretariat.
Congress came to power in Karnataka by exposing BJP’s 40% commission scam, but in Telangana, they are now following the same corrupt model. Small contractors and even retired employees are now asking.. Is Congress any different from BJP?
The Civil Contractors Association has warned that if their bills are not cleared by the 20th, they will lay siege to the Assembly on the 25th.
Why is the government sitting on people’s hard-earned money? Why is there money for big contractors, but not small businesses and pensioners? Is Telangana witnessing the rise of a ‘20% Commission Government’?
Public outrage is growing. Will the Congress government act or face massive unrest? (Maxim News)
